This 10-day Eastern and Northern Uganda safari offers a rich combination of adventure, culture, and wildlife. Starting in Jinja, discover the Source of the Nile before heading to the highlands of Sipi Falls for hiking, coffee experiences, and sunset views. Journey deep into Karamoja for authentic cultural encounters in Moroto and hikes on Mt. Moroto. Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Uganda & Transfer to Jinja
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be met by your guide from AFRICANBROWNMAT Safaris and transferred eastwards to Jinja, the adventure capital of Uganda. Settle into your lodge before visiting the Source of the Nile, where Lake Victoria’s waters begin their journey north. Enjoy a peaceful boat ride and explore the riverside craft shops.

Day 2: Jinja to Sipi Falls – Sunset Viewpoint
After breakfast, depart for Sipi Falls, located on the foothills of Mt. Elgon. Enjoy the drive through tea plantations and vibrant rural towns. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and later take a guided walk to a scenic viewpoint for a breathtaking sunset over the Karamoja plains.

Day 3: Full Day in Sipi Falls
Today, explore the Sipi region through a combination of adventure and cultural experiences. Start with a guided hike to all three Sipi waterfalls, passing through farmlands and caves. After lunch, experience the thrill of abseiling down the main 100-meter waterfall. In the afternoon, visit a local coffee farm to learn about and participate in the coffee-making process, from bean to brew.

Day 4: Transfer to Moroto – Karamojong Cultural Tour
Depart early for Moroto, heading into the heart of Karamoja, one of Uganda’s most culturally rich and untouched regions. On arrival, check in and visit a Karamojong manyatta, a traditional homestead, where you’ll learn about their nomadic lifestyle, cattle culture, and traditions. Enjoy local dances and storytelling.

Day 5: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park
After breakfast, take a guided nature hike on the lower slopes of Mount Moroto, a rugged and scenic climb offering views of the Karamoja plains and interactions with local communities. After lunch, drive north toward Kidepo Valley National Park, arriving in time to relax and enjoy the wild surroundings.

Day 6: Full-Day Safari in Kidepo
Spend the day exploring Kidepo Valley, Uganda’s most remote and spectacular park. Begin with a morning game drive in the Narus Valley, home to lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, elephants, and giraffes. Expect breathtaking landscapes and fewer tourists.

Day 7: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Begin your day with a long but scenic transfer to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area. Stop for breaks and enjoy the countryside along the way. Lunch en route to the park in Gulu and upon arrival check in and relax he evening at the lodge

Day 8: Game Drives, Boat Safari & Hike to the Top of Murchison Falls
Start your day with a morning game drive across the savannah plains of Murchison’s northern sector. Watch for lions, giraffes, elephants, hartebeests, and more. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise along the Nile to the base of the mighty Murchison Falls. End the day with a guided hike to the top of the falls, where the Nile forces its way through a narrow gorge in a dramatic display.

Day 9: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – Return to Entebbe
Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park via scenic landscapes. After lunch on the road, take a guided walk through the Bigodi Wetland, known for its primates and birdlife.

Day 10: Chimpanzee Tracking & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP
After breakfast, begin the journey back toward Entebbe with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can see wild rhinos. Enjoy a guided on-foot tracking experience, getting up close to these magnificent animals. After lunch, continue to Entebbe for your overnight stay or prepare for departure the following day.

Day 10: Departure – Drop-Off at Entebbe
